Shannon Hauf is currently Senior Vice President and Head of Seed Production Innovation at Bayer Crop Science. Shannon and her team have responsibility to develop and deliver strategic and technical solutions in the production of seeds to drive sustainable growth and profit of Bayer’s seeds business. Previously she was Senior Vice President and Head of Crop Technology Soybean.
Shannon grew up on a corn, soybean and livestock farm in Southern Minnesota. She has a Bachelor of Science from Iowa State University, and Master of Science and a Doctorate degree from North Dakota State University.
Shannon joined Bayer, the former Monsanto, in 2003, and has held various roles of increasing responsibility within the Commercial and Technology Organizations. While in the U.S. commercial field sales and technical organization, Shannon was involved in the launch of a number of corn and soybean products, including YieldGard corn rootworm in Iowa, resulting in rapid transition to triple-stacked products and earning the number one brand share of market. In 2008, Shannon moved to St. Louis as U.S. Chemistry Systems Team Lead followed by a move into the U.S. Cotton Product Management Team.
In 2012, Shannon moved into the Global Dicamba Product Management Lead responsible for coordinating cross-organization efforts to deliver the Roundup Ready Xtend Crop System globally and building a global dicamba chemistry supply strategy. Shannon moved to Research & Development in 2014 as Vice President and Global Technology Lead for cotton, wheat and specialty crops. Shannon is the recipient of the Technical Excellence, Distinguished Development and Pledge Awards, along with CropLife International Food Hero Awards and Young Women's Christian Association (YWCA) Women Leaders in the Workplace.
Shannon serves on the Board of Directors for Innovative Seed Solutions, LLC, for Iowa State University Research Foundation and BAYERPAC. She is the executive sponsor for Women in Research and Development and sits on the Bayer United Way Leadership Team. Shannon is active in support of Adopt-A-Family and serves as a 4-H Leader.

Wanda has over a decade of experience in the sustainability sector, ranging from sustainable design to Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) consulting and serves as Saint Louis Zoo’s Director of Sustainable Operations and Construction Management.
In her six years at the Saint Louis Zoo, Wanda has also been active in the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) Green Scientific Advisory Group, serving as Chair from 2014-2018. In her role as Chair, Wanda led a three-year Action Planning effort which identified the creation of a sustainability course for AZA professionals as a top priority. Her academic background intersects the human and built environment with a Master's degree in Urban Planning and Real Estate Development from Saint Louis University, coupled with social sciences (Sociology & Anthropology) undergraduate degree from Indiana University. Wanda is a LEED Accredited Professional and has experience working on over a dozen LEED projects.
She currently serves as Oglebay’s Sustainability Institute Director overseeing the creation of the multi-disciplinary course aimed to provide the skills and guidance necessary for professionals to create effective sustainability plans for their organizations.
