"What Drew Me to My Brothers and Sisters..."

We are happy to announce that Maria Gomez celebrated becoming a novice in San Antonio, Texas. She moved to the School Sisters of Notre Dame Interprovincial Novitiate, in St. Louis, Missouri in mid-September. As a novice, she receives time, opportunity and assistance to form an ever deepening relationship with Christ which will be the basis and the impelling force of her religious life. Maria joins novice Frances Lachowicz and members of the Interprovincial Novitiate community of Sisters Ann Carol Kaufenberg (Novice Director), Paul Mary Draxler, Rose Cecile Espinos, Patricia Josephine Hogan and Carol Marie Polczynski. In community she will learn to follow Christ according to the Constitution of the School Sisters of Notre Dame and she will begin to integrate the various aspects of the consecrated life. She will also study and reflect on the history and heritage of the congregation and her lived experience in community as she continues to discern God's call.
