Catholic Sisters Week (CSW) takes place March 8-14 annually and shines a light on the spirituality, mission and community building of women religious around the world. It is a chance to recognize all that sisters are and do, with the hope that as more young women learn about Catholic sisters, they will choose to explore religious life and even hear God’s call to it. For 23 years, Whole Kids Outreach (WKO) has worked with School Sisters of Notre Dame (SSND) and now it is official! Last year, WKO became an Affiliated Ministry of the Central Pacific province. WKO, the faith-based, community-oriented nonprofit sits on a 10-acre farm in Ellington, Missouri, and delivers child abuse and neglect prevention services to about 500 families a year in an 11-county area of Southeast Missouri through an array of home visiting services and child-centered programs, like the beloved Camp Whole Kids. The Women’s Leadership Luncheon provides an inspiring and empowering atmosphere for women in St. Paul, Minnesota, St. Louis, Dallas and Milwaukee to recognize her own potential in becoming a leader. Over the course of the last 23 years, SSND continue to grow the Women’s Leadership Luncheons, celebrating the accomplishments of women in leadership and to work together to create a better future for women.
