Moving forward in our new normal

Sister Dawn Achs, provincial councilor, shared in a semi-annual provincial council update, “We all breathed a sigh of relief as the CDC lessens restrictions and we could again begin to enjoy time with each other and loved ones. It was a welcome change to be able to meet face-to-face for visits and for meetings. Now, we take what we have learned and try to cautiously move forward into our new normal.”

The many years and accomplishments of the School Sisters of Notre Dame Jubilarians is something to honor and celebrate. Sister Kathleen Brice is a teacher at Notre Dame High School in St. Louis and a 50-year Jubilarian. Sister Kathleen shares in her reflection on her Jubilee year, “Now as a SSND, historian and educator of 50 years, my memories of the people, places and events that shaped me, are memories of gratitude.”

Serving those who serve us: Lenten gifts

St. Raphael the Archangel (SRA) parish in St. Louis donated two gifts to the School Sisters of Notre Dame (SSND) this Lent season. The gifts included care packages created by students for the sisters living at Sancta Maria in Ripa and a monetary donation raised by parishioners for SSND ministries. Their Lenten project theme was, “Serving those who serve us: School Sisters of Notre Dame.”
