2020 Prayer for Peace. Sisters at OLGC gathered around the Peace Pole on the International Day of Prayer for Peace for a simple, socially-distanced, masked prayer service.
International Day of Peace - September 21

Sister Anna Marie Reha, provincial council member, shares a beautiful reflection on the importance of International Day of Peace, held every September 21. As Sister Anna Marie reflected, “The International Day of Peace is about creating a just and peaceful world. One symbol of this desire is the Peace Pole, which reminds us to think, speak and act in the spirit of peace. For this reason, sisters, colleagues and friends gather around this symbol on this day to be reminded of our common desire for peace on Earth as we pray: May peace prevail on Earth!”

Reflection on Notre Dame of Elm Grove

This fall, sisters will move from Notre Dame of Elm Grove (NDEG), Elm Grove, Wisconsin. After 162 years at NDEG, sisters reflect on their time there. Sister Mariel Kreuziger reflects on her history with NDEG and Mount Mary University. She shared, “…reaching out beyond this piece of property to another adventure. That, of course, is to move to Trinity Woods and share our lives with other senior citizens and mothers with children. Truly this is Blessed Theresa and Mother Caroline calling us forth to yet one more mission.”

Out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety of our attendees, volunteers, sisters and crafters, the 45th annual event has been canceled.
