Women’s Leadership Luncheons 2021: Care of Creation

The theme for the 2021 Women’s Leadership Luncheons is Care of Creation. The School Sisters of Notre Dame (SSND) believe in the interconnection of the whole life community and responsibility for the Earth. With gratitude for God’s gifts of air, soil, water, plants, animals and humans, sisters act with respect and reverence of the environment. Through eco-living practices, food choices, land use, eco-literacy and advocacy, SSND work to protect God’s creation.

Join SSND in shaping peace together

September 21, 2020, join the School Sisters of Notre Dame (SSND) in celebrating the International Day of Peace. Celebrating Jubilee in creative ways

With COVID-19 restrictions in place at all School Sisters of Notre Dame (SSND) Central Pacific Province locations since mid-March, many changes, postponements and cancellations of events have taken place to ensure the safety of sisters, family and friends. Jubilee celebrations were part of the changes to accommodate the Center of Disease Control guidelines. Sister Sue Von Bank, a 60-year Jubilarian, and Sister Helen Jane Jaeb, Provincial Councilor, share what this year’s celebrations looked like. As Sister Helen Jane states, “The 2020 Jubilarians were recognized for the gift of their vocation, as their presence as SSND have blessed so many by their ministries. No matter where and how they gave their lives of love and care.”
