MORE empowers through literacy and diversity

During International Literacy Day, September 8, we celebrate the School Sisters of Notre Dame (SSND) who have been educators for more than 185 years. Mariellyn says, “We students received clear instruction in design and construction of the rugs. The local women openly shared their lives with us; each day a woman would share how she came to rug hooking and how her life had changed by learning this art, making and selling her rugs.”
