SSND associates take a stand against human trafficking

Following the example set by the School Sisters of Notre Dame, associates throughout the Central Pacific province are taking a stand against human trafficking through prayer, education and helping those who are impacted. Three human trafficking conferences were held in St. Louis, Elm Grove, Wisconsin, and Chatawa, Mississippi, in an effort to educate associates.

Sister Carol Marie Wildt, giving a presentation on
“Why I Love Azaleas”

Sister Carol Marie Wildt gave a presentation at Fontbonne University in St. Louis, about Sister Mary Imma (Josefa) Mack and her memoir titled “Why I love Azaleas.” The presentation was shared with an audience interested in gaining a better understanding of the challenges sisters faced during World War II. Sister Carol Marie stated, “She risked her life to help the prisoners, trusting in God’s protection, the support of her family and sisters in community along with a network of collaborators.”

Central Pacific Province prepares to elect new Provincial Council

The Provincial Council is the leadership team of the Central Pacific Province. The Council provides governance, planning, spiritual guidance and day-to-day leadership for the sisters who make up the province. The term of the current School Sisters of Notre Dame (SSND) Central Pacific Provincial Council ends June 9, 2019. Learn about the upcoming elections.
