Experience a Latin American-inspired evening with the School Sisters of Notre Dame Central Pacific Province during our annual signature fundraising events, the Wine & Chocolate Soirees. The events will feature delicious foods and desserts, chocolates and fine wines. Soirees are held in Elm Grove, Wisconsin, St. Louis and Mankato, Minnesota. Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are available.

Sister Mary Kennedy, formerly of the Central Pacific Province, ministers to children in Monte Verde, Honduras.
Filling the void: SSND missions in Honduras

Sister Mary Kennedy serves in Monte Verde, Honduras. She and other SSNDs there focus on education in the broadest sense. They have helped women learn new skills to support their families and have aided coffee farmers form a cooperative, which ensures they receive the most money possible for their crop. The sisters have also helped the villagers expand their faith lives by welcoming a full-time priest into the area for the first time.

Changing lives…one woman at a time

Sister Richarde Marie Wolf is the coordinator of the Good Counsel Learning Center’s Refugee Outreach Program, which empowers refugee women through access to education. Many refugee women are unable to obtain traditional education because they lack a support system to care for their young children. The Refugee Outreach Program connects these women with tutors, who travel to the women’s homes, eliminating any need for childcare.

Catholic Sisters: Spirit of St. Louis

SSNDs are part of an exhibit at the St. Louis Public Library honoring Catholic sisters for their influence on the area for 200 years and counting.

At Sancta Maria in Ripa, Sister Sandy Bay prays with donors at brunch following the Mass of Apprciation. Sister Sandy also celebrates her 50-year Jubilee this year.
