Jennifer Staubach Gates is a council member from Dallas. From serving as a Girl Scout troop leader to serving on boards for leading Dallas education and religious institutions, Jennifer has been an active leader in her community for decades.

As a strong fiscal conservative, Jennifer brings a taxpayer’s perspective to City Hall. She has spent decades serving on boards and helping non-profits get more for every dollar. Jennifer also serves on the Diocesan Education Endowment, an organization that grants more than $600,000 per year in education scholarships.

A lifelong Dallasite, Jennifer attended Ursuline Academy, then went on to get her bachelor’s in nursing from Incarnate Word College in San Antonio, and she is still licensed as a registered nurse.

Jennifer has been married to John Gates for more than 29 years. Their youngest daughter attends the University of Texas, and their older daughter and husband live in Dallas. The Gates family attends St. Rita Catholic Church, where Jennifer also serves as a Eucharistic minister.
