Sisters listened, reflected and discussed Holding All in Common as it impacts members, mission and ministries, and stewardship of all resources. Solidarity at the Margins looked at how sisters are currently serving those who are poor and marginalized, and how they will respond in the future. With the task of setting direction, sisters considered how they will make the SSND charism available in the future. Reviewing definitions and looking at sponsored, co-sponsored and supported ministries added information. Table conversations were part of deliberations about how SSNDs will be ministering in ten years.
While working with the agenda, sisters prayed, reflected, talked and enjoyed being together, renewing acquaintances and meeting sisters they had not known before. Connecting with sisters “at home” was made possible through recorded sessions, daily reports and shared photos. The Assembly is another step on the sisters’ path to extend their mission to proclaim the good news as School Sisters of Notre Dame, directing their entire lives toward that oneness for which Jesus Christ was sent.
With whom do you reflect? How do you make your heart ready?
