Featured Speaker:Ann Reed

Ann Reed is a singer/songwriter/guitar player from Minneapolis, Minn. She is one of the few women guitarists who primarily play the 12-string guitar.

Ann has appeared on Good Morning America and on national radio shows such as A Prairie Home Companion, All Things Considered and Mountain Stage. She was a frequent guest of The Morning Show on Minnesota Public Radio. She has performed at many folk festivals, including Bumbershoot and the Winnipeg Folk Festival, and continues to perform in concert. In recent years, she also has developed her talents as a playwright and voice-over talent.

Ann donates up to 25 percent of her concert tour bookings to organizations that primarily address issues affecting women and children.

Ann is an independent recording artist, producing and distributing her music through her company, Turtlecub Productions. She has received several awards from the Minnesota Music Academy, including Songwriter of the Year and Artist of the Year.

Ann will play her tribute song, Heroes, at the luncheon, a beautiful song honoring women who have changed history and our lives.
