The School Sisters of Notre Dame Central Pacific Province are praying and acting to slow the spread of coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19). We pray for all who suffer, for our leaders, our healthcare providers and all working to end this pandemic With the ever-changing news and concerns around COVID-19, sisters are taking every precaution to protect themselves and the essential lay staff who work with them. The sisters and lay staff are following CDC guidelines to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Through all of the precautions the sisters are staying positive. At Our Lady of Good Counsel in Mankato, Minnesota, the sisters are staying active and creative. Sister Mary Kay Gosch, campus administrator, says, “There is a good deal of concern, however we are staying positive, praying and keeping physically and mentally active.”
Many of the sisters are using this time to express themselves through prayer and creative outlets. Sister Lillia Langreck from Notre Dame of Elm Grove in Elm Grove, Wisconsin, shares a prayer.
