Women as Peacemakers in a Fractured
World of Violence
Every March, the School Sisters of Notre Dame celebrate Women’s History Month with the Women’s Leadership Luncheon. Started in the late 1990s, the events are held across the Central Pacific Province in St. Louis, Milwaukee, St. Paul, Minnesota, Minnesota, and Dallas. The free luncheons recognize the unique and important contributions women make in families, communities and the world.
The focus of the 2024 Women’s Leadership Luncheon is Women as Peacemakers in a Fractured World of Violence. The luncheons feature the impact women peacemakers are making in our communities, and how the work they are doing is inspiring others to do the same.
2024 Women’s Leadership Luncheon speakers are:
- Rabbi Susan Talve, St. Louis, March 4, “Radical Nonviolent Peacemaking Strategies – Secrets from the Women of the Torah”
- Mary E. Triggiano, Milwaukee, March 7, “Reshaping Justice: Restorative, Problem-Solving and Trauma-Informed”
- District Chief Stacy Murphy, St. Paul, Minnesota, March 14,“Peaceful Leadership at All Ranks – Having a Positive Impact from Your Seat”
- Judge Ada Brown, Dallas, March 19, “Women of Faith: Forging Friendships and Promoting Peace in a Discorded Nation”
These knowledgeable speakers will educate and empower guests to become more effective leaders within their own communities. Attendees can expect to leave the luncheon inspired with a passion to make a change in themselves and others.
