Convenience in sustained giving

By Mary Kay Murray, Director of Resource Development
Sister Addie Lorraine Walker and friends are enjoying a fun meal at the 2019 Mass of Appreciation at St. Mary of the Pines in Chatawa, Mississippi.

Are you looking for an easy way to support the sisters’ retirement and ministries? Now might be a good time to consider becoming a donor through our sustained giving program.

Contributing to the sisters with a sustained gift allows you to give via an automatic monthly donation. Your regular gift can be processed through a credit card or a bank account. While it is beneficial for us to receive gifts on a regular basis, participating in a sustained giving program is also advantageous for you, because it offers a convenient way of giving without the added costs of postage, checks or time.

Sustained giving allows us to better allocate our resources, create a constant flow of financial support and helps us stay connected to our donors. In addition, with less paper and administrative costs on our end, more of your contribution can go directly to supporting the sisters’ ministries and retirement needs.

If you are still unsure about enrolling in a sustained giving program, allow us to share with you perspectives from our donors regarding why they give in this manner.

One donor shares, “I was skeptical at first, but now I’m glad that I became a sustained giving donor. I give monthly because I want to ensure that the sister who provided me with guidance and education is well cared for in her retirement.”

Another donor gives because she knows the money is appreciated and needed. She adds, “I find it much easier to have the donation charged to my credit card, rather than having to remember to mail a check each month. This way I don’t lose track and forget to send it.”

To enroll, simply select monthly gift to make a donation online, or contact me at mmurray@ssndcp.org or 262-787-1037.
