Season 6 of Called to Action, the podcast of the School Sisters of Notre Dame (SSND) Central Pacific Province, will launch on Wednesday, January 14. This season has much in store for our audience. Sister Jan Berberich rejoins Adam Schicker as co-host for a second year, alongside a varied and well-versed list of guests from within SSND, including sisters, associates, colleagues and other partners in mission.

Before getting started, a couple of things that the audience should know about Season 6 are the changes in episode frequency and topic matter.

In the past, Called to Action released an episode every other week from January through May. This year, the decision was made to release one episode every month through the calendar year. New episodes will go live the second Wednesday of the month. Season 6 also brings us a bit of a change in topics. Every season leading up to this one has focused on one area of advocacy that is part of SSND commitment to the Shalom Network. Across these first five seasons, the podcast has looked closely at various aspects of Care of Creation, Immigration and Refugees, Human Trafficking, Gospel Nonviolence and Just Peace and Racial Justice.

This season we will still focus on the amazing advocacy work the sisters do, but the topics will be influenced by current events and important milestones throughout the entire year that SSND would like to recognize and discuss. While the full season is still in development, planned themes for this season will include how to lean on faith through transitional times in your life, highlights of SSND sponsored ministries, vocations and the opportunities available to practice advocacy within your community.

For a little sneak peek, Episode 1 (releasing January 14, 2026) is titled “Keeping Faith When Life Changes” and will include a discussion with Sister Patricia Gravemann and Sister Cindy Weber. Together, they will reflect on the transition St. Louis area sisters are making as they move from the historic Sancta Maria in Ripa campus to new housing. The sisters will offer thoughts on how they maintain faith and share advice they have for listeners who may be facing their own challenges or life transitions in the new year.

Episode 2 (releasing February 11, 2026) features longtime SSND colleague Debbie Rohrich-Tyler. Having worked for SSND since she was in high school, Debbie will share how the sisters have impacted her life and how her role in the Resource Development Office supports SSND. She will also give listeners a preview of this year’s Women’s Leadership Luncheon, one of the province’s most anticipated and well-attended yearly series of events.

We hope you tune in for a new season of topics and remember to set your calendars for a reminder for each new episode that will be live through the year.
