One of these teachers is Sister Judy Fleisner, a fourth and fifth grade teacher at Notre Dame School of Milwaukee. Success in ministry schools

Notre Dame School of Dallas and Marian Middle School in St. Louis, both School Sisters of Notre Dame ministries, share their 2020 year-end wrap up and plans for this coming school year. The director of development and communications at Marian Middle School in St. Louis, Kristin Gumper shares, “As Marian concludes a year of unprecedented challenges, the school is incredibly proud of the growth of Marian girls in the face of adversity. Together, we celebrate Marian on their accomplishments.”

Sister Ruth Mori ringing the Bell of Peace located in Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park.  This park is located at site where the first atomic bomb exploded on August 6, 1945 and is dedicated to remembering the victims and promoting world peace.
Reflection on Hiroshima and Nagasaki

August 6, 2020, is the 75th anniversary of the dropping of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan. Sister Ruth Mori, born and raised in Japan, remembers the terrible devastation and fallout from the bombs. Her own family suffered great losses. Sister Ruth shares, “Suffering and sadness are inevitable, but I believe that God makes us with compassion and love. Through compassion and love, we can be healed and have hope for our future.”
